This boiler had been playing up a little - a full service and a few small parts replaced got it back to full working order
It really is a good idea to get your boiler serviced (by a gas safe engineer) once a year. A service can stop the small problems with a boiler, becoming major issues.
In this case the boiler was suffering from a few issues with efficiency - we tracked it down to some faulty electrodes which we duly replaced. Because of the age of the boiler we also gave it a thorough service, testing for leaks and adjusting to ensure the optimum running temperature.
